what are the f/p on tbi

hey i installed a fuel gauge on the fuel line and i was wondering at what f/p do tbi work at?there are times it runs at idle at 8-10 but this morning that it wa cold and i had the a/c on for defrost i open the hood and it was at 14 idle ?thats incorrect right?

I'm not sure but I'm thinking around 15 psi at the throttle body

the FP really varries, some people stock have tested it at like 8-9psi, others at 13-14.

well i just installed my gmvafpr and it now runs at 9 psi and wot 15 psi.how come with the stock regulator in park at wot it will stay at 9 -10 psi?and now with the vacumn afpr in park at wot it gos to 15 psi

that is what the vacume part of the vafpr does, as the vacume drops, it allows more line pressure.

BTW, weren't you running HOG rich? why would you put something on the car that is only going to make that worse?

RICH= too much fuel in fuel\air mixture

More fuel pressure=More fuel

Absolutely hog rich on the dyno.. VAFPR == more fuel pressure == more fuel == exactly what you DON'T want... everything over 3k was *way* too rich and it fell off the bottom of the graph.. and now it probably falls off the graph at 3k. put the VAFPR on a shelf for now and rechip your car..
