yes, but you will either need a new intake manifold, or drill yours out to fit the center two bolts.

also, you will need to drill out the pushrod guides, or use non SA rockers.

Definatly want to drill out the guides with SA rockers. My 305 came from the factory with heads that had slots and SA rockers. I can easily see where the pushros have been dragging on the guide slot.

This is kinda off topic, but what is the difference between SA and non SA rockers?

You'd also need new valve covers, but im assuming they prolly already have them on the heads seeing as they arent new.

Self Aligning rockers have little rails on each side of the rocker tip that keep the rocker centered on the valve stem face.

those ho heads are significantly better than your stockers. if you have the heads off the car, there's no better time to upgrade. drilling out the holes in the intake and in the pushrod guides isn't that big of a deal. if you already have those ho heads, you should swap them on.

if you don't already have those heads, look for a set of 081 heads. they come off of 87 and newer lb9 305 tpis, flow a lot better than what you have and will bolt right on without your having to drill out anyhting.

I think i will go with the set of 081 heads because the H.O heads are used and the 081 heads i can get brand new "used"..Is the 081 heads the last 3 digits casted on the heads? If so i can get those for 90 bux a piece brand new with trade in of my old heads at a place called Heads Exchange. If i get the 081 heads, they will bolt up without a problem and will re-use the stock manifold and push rods?Sorry for all the questions and if i had the money i would go the 350 route but i gotta deal with what i have. Thanks once again for all your help.

Yes the 081 heads should bolt right up no problem. So I would definetly go that route if I were you good luck.

Thanks IROCAHOLIC...You said they should fit, but I dont like the uncertainty .Is 081 the last 3 digits in the casting numbers on the head?
