Yes a holley question
Holley injectors from a 350tbi (new delphi style) are rated as what? What comes on the 305 tbi they sell? I need to know if anyone has the individual part numbers for the injectors themselves? I think the 350's are too much for my little 305, my car is way rich, so rich, that when i attempt to start it, the tbi just dumps fuel in and floods it. So i have to unplug both injectors, start it let it run til it dies (5sec) and then plug one injector in to get it started, granted it will run, but it is pig rich when i plug the other injector in....i know i need to burn a new chip, but i was wondering if the lower rated injectors would help at all? at least so i would be able to start it without having to jump through the above hoops?

I think the most popular flavors are 57, 65, and 85 pph for the newer delphi units. You probably have the 65's which will be a bit much for the 305.
EDIT:
Keep them though. Didnt notice the first time around but youve done some mods so youll want the higher PPH units.

BTW, my 88 did the same thing, even when totally stock. Would always flood out on start up.
certainly the smaller injectors are the way to go but with a chip burn the larger ones in there will work. even with the smaller injectors you will eventually need to datalog and burn some chips.

Question: Is this the engine in your sig, or your stock 305 thats going rich? Gettting smaller injectors or using the stock tbi assy. would help with your stock 305, but with mods, no matter what you do, itll be rich w/o tuning. The VE's will have shifted and itll run rich at low speeds no matter what.

wow, thanks for all the info guys, well, i have a tbichips.com chip which i bought knowing it wouldn't be spot on, but i expected it to at least start up without an issue. Is there something i can do specifically to remedy the start up issue? I know i need to get into burning but the new job is taking up a lot of time.

Unfortunatly, all the extra fuel just drowns the motor on start up. Need to take out alot of fuel and add some timing in, and this can only be done by burning a chip. one thing taht always seemed to help was cracking the throttle open while cranking. It seems to help prevent it from stalling back out after the engine first fires. Other then that, theres not much you can do about the rich condition at low speeds w/o access to the ecms calibration.

Alright, thanks for the info guys, i did buy an aldl cable so maybe i will log some data and start from there, what should i look for? i know go to the prom board but any tbi specific info would be great, i think most of the stuff on there is for tpi.

start with your constants for correction, go to idle, fast idle, then a ride down the road on level surface 20 mph/30 mph, etc. all the time checking your blms and recording. then the VE tables need to be adjusted as you go. eventually all the rpm/map cells will give some data and you make VE corrections. that is a start. this is my second season of tuning starting in a week or so. i used tunercat and found the helpdesk very helpful !! i would recommend them.
