Time to rebuild?

Before you guys say just get a 350, i want to say all i have is $450 and i dont think that would cover all the odds and ends needed to make a 350 work. that $450 should cover the rebuild kit for my lo3. (mabey even headers and y-pipe off e-bay)

A little background. its a 91 rs with 119,000 and a brand new 5-spd/clutch, and all i could get out of her on the 1/4 mile was a 17.1. and have been failing the sniffer.

give it a good tune up. 17.1 is not uncommon for these cars.

You should not be ready for a rebuild yet. You still have a lot of miles to go before that. Spend that money an a very good tune up. I bet you would be amazed at the results.
