Vic, it is possible, but, it really depends on tuning and the tuner. A good tuner could possibly get 330 or maybe a liitle more at the rear wheels. Lets say you had a ZZ4 350 that you put on some fastburn heads and a LT4 hot can in. This combo has proven to make 420hp at the flywheel with a carb. A good tuner and the right combo of tbi parts could get close but probably not match the carbs hp numbers. Lets see, a bored 454tb that has 2.1in. bores, 90lb injectors(at a raised fp level), single plane intake (Victor Jr. should work nicely), long tube headers with x-pipe and dual exsaust. Now we have the makings of a goob and proven system all we need is the tuner. To get to the level of hp we want well have to tune it just right in all areas so as to retain some streetablity as well as good WOT performance. It sounds good but it's not easy to get the tune you need without the knowledge of all aspects of tuning an ecm for a perticular perfomance combination. Again the answer is yes, BUT!!! It won't be easy.

Many people give up on TBI but it can be a performer. Just tell that to r90camarors who plans on runnin 11's with his combo. That is why the TBI board on TGO is the best.

I just read the same thing!

That place is loaded with TBI bashers.

It is entertaining, though

One of the many reasons TGO has become one of the biggest and best-know organizations/specific interest websites on the W.W.W.!! We actually (well, most of us ) know what we are talking about when it comes to these cars. I can't even begin to tell you how many of the members are actually certified mechanics and engineers!! (points at Shifty ) You go ahead and tell those guys to think what they want, but these motors are capable of some great numbers. Heck, my 94 Suburban has a BONE STOCK 454TBI in it (with some upgraded exhaust thanks to the experimental guys at GM) I can can GUARANTEE you its makeing WAY more than 330rwhp...
