lean idle, OD calibration
lean idle, OD calibration
I am working on a 1995 chev suburban with the 0D calibration, this unit, as well as any other chevy begins to idle roughly as soon as closed loop is attained, When open loop blm and int are at 128 and idle is fine, when closed loop occures the blm quicly drops to 100 +/- a couple, so obviously the pcm for some reason thinks the system is rich. Timing is good, no misfires, no vacum leaks,
now the questions
1 is there any easy fix for this?
2 in hac there are two AFR settings, one for stoch and one for Quasi closed loop, What is Quasi closed loop?
L48DD FCB 147 ; 14.7:1 AFR STOCH AFR
; Used when cool G.T. L48C6 TEMP, (0c)
;
L48DE FCB 10 ; 1.0:1 AFR RATIO BIAS FOR OPN LP IDLE
; Used prior to TPS action after start up
;
L48DF FCB 147 ; 14.7:1 AFR FOR QUSI-CLSD LP
L48E0 FCB 10 ; 1.0:1 AFR RICH BIAS FOR OPN LP DRIVE
L48E1 FCB 5 ; 0.5:1 AFR RICH BIAS FOR OPN LP PK/NEUT
L48E2 FCB 6 ; 23% FILT CONST FOR AFR FILTERING
; FOR IDLE TO LEANER OFF IDLE XISITION
;==============================================
and whats the setting at 48E2 all about

I will only leave this open for a little bit. If someone knows the answer chime in. This is not 3rd gen related but I know how hard it is to get good TBI info for other cars that are basically the same as ours.
