Those really are great times. That is an amazing 60 foot for an LO3. You should see some awesome numbers once you start adding mods that increase the ponies. You deffinately have the traction down.

Your better 60 times are due to a great launch and being a good driver. The low trap speeds are because you have that poor stock LO3 up front.

My geuss would be that his improved traction limited his motor from reaching its power band as fast as it would if there was some slip. Top fuel dragsters will trap the best with moderate slip all the way down the track. We all know how close an LO3 is to a top fuel car . I am pumped to see his times when he gets some top end on that car. If he can pull those 60 foot times with even a mild cam and some tuning he could easily knock off a half second.

What all you got on that thing to push it into the 14's? I know I have one of the faster bone stock L03's on TGO from what I've seen (not bragging, so no flaming guys) and the best I've pulled is a 15.3! Yeah, that 60' IS amazing! Wish I could do that...

That's an amazing 60' man, real nice. When a little bit of wheel slip is factored in, as soon as the tires "catch", the motor is usually in a higher RPM bracket (closer to peak HP) so even though you spun, you kept your revs in a more powerful part of the powerband and you get higher MPH, but a slower 60'.

Hence the great 60' times. But damn 3500 stall?!?! Thats beefy for the stock cam. Imagine with the posi.
U need to start crackin those manifold bolts and head bolts and get to work.

It IS possible to get both wheels to hook with a non posi rear end and drag radials or comparable tires. It's not hard, you just have to heat both tires before you get to the line. It usually takes getting the RR heated first then it's easy to get the LR heated. Then just come off the line at your best rpm (just depends on your converter or clutch condition).

Yeah man, if you're putting down 1.8X 60' times, posi is definitely the least of your worries, I'd say the biggest gain is to be had by burning your own proms.

I read in another post about a company that burns chips for cheap(around $50). You just call em up and tell em the set up and they do it all for you.

Check out www.TBICHIPS.com

Hope they can get you in the right direction

Hey guys, where are all of you mounting your MSD's or boxes like them? I can seem to find a good spot to mount mine and that is what is delaying the install of mine. I have a Crane HI-6 with coil to install. Any recomendations would be great. I still have have AC if that helps with recomendations.

Thanks

Bill

That'd be a better question to ask in the Tech/General forum or the Electrical forum. Try to stay on topic with the thread header please!

Dennis,

I have gotten two chips from Brian so far. He has done a good job for me. Just keep in mind that it will take a long time and a lot of chips to get it dialed in right. But if you don'e know how to burn your own, Brian is a good place to start.

Thanks again,
