if its blue, its oil
if its white, its coolant
if its black, it's unburned gasoline

Get out and try to smell it and tell us if it smells like oil. If it is blue than it is oil. It has nothing to do with your thermostat. Does the smoke go away after you have been driving for awhile? My valve seals or so bad that when I drive it takes about 15 minutes for it to stop smoking.

I'd also guess it is your valve seals. I just rebuilt my engine which smoked the same way yours did. When I took the valve springs off the seals (both intake and exhaust) just crumbled in my hand (if there was anything at all left). But, still smell the smoke and tell us what it smells like.

hey guys it me again with the infamous red thing.... anyway im having a similar issue where mine seems to blow some smoke out the exhaust tips. i cant really tell but it seems like either a very dk blue or black tint (most probly a rich condition cuz i dont smell any oil and level isn't dropping) it seems really bad after revving or idling or other random times... it kinda smells rich, and im gonna check it out with the winaldl....

the q is, if thats the problem, how would i lean it up? i tried the iac adjustment in the tech section of the main site but it would barely run w/o stuff plugged in (unless the instructions mean somethin else from what im doin) and rite now i cant do open air cuz after insurance im broke, so whatever you can give me will be appreciated, and i hope this helps you out too, camaro89rs355.

thanx, :hail:
