I believe thats where the threaded vaccum line for the brake booster goes at least thats what I have plugged into that hole on my performer RPM.

i believe the brake booster is plugged into the hole in front of the right bore?
keep in mind, this is also on my stock TBI, and its missing a hose to it.. its just sucking in air without any filter... so i know something must go their.
anyone with a tbi mind checking what is attached their and where it runs to? thanks!

That is a manifold vacuum port. on my 88 LO3 it has one hose going to a vacuum brake and then, a tee. the port on the tee going to the drivers side connects to the cruise control vacuum diaphram next to the radiator. the tee port going to the pass. side go's thru the firewall under the MAP sensor to operate the vacuum controled duct doors for your heating, defrost, and air cond. vents. If you don't know what a vacuum brake is, it's desinged to restrict the amount of vacuum going to other diaphrams with limited vacuum capability's so they won't be over-powered by constant high vacuum. so don't just hook up the hoses without the brake installed.

The vacuum fitting comes out of the intake, then into one side of the vacuum brake, out the other side of the vacuum brake to a T fitting then one hose to the cruise control diaphram, and the other side to the firewall.

Just look at your stock intake and take out that plug and put it in that hole on the edelbrock intake. Nothing is relocated on that intake. It is a direct plug n' play.

That is not for the brake booster, the brake booster is located on the front side of the raised TBI section. The threaded hole you are talking about is in fact for manifold vacum. You should have had a fitting on the stock manifold there that hooks up to the small vacum hoses that run along the rear of the engine. I would post a pic if I had it, but I just put on that Performer TBI last week and that is def what that thread is for...manifold vacum.

If there's nothing there on your stock intake, it's a gimmie!
CAP IT OFF. You posted what goes there? And we told you!
Evidently, your new intake is a dual purpose application for 700-R4 and T-5. Actually, I'm surprised the intake didn't come with a brass plug for the T-5 application. You might want to dig in the carton it came in and see if you didn't overlook it. It should have had a small plastic bag with easy install intake gasket bolt hole locator's, and a brass plug along with the port gaskets and front-rear rubber gaskets. You might have been the victim of a lazy packer that didn't bother to put it in the box! (his name might be Jose).
Anyway, if it didn't I would call and tell them and tell them about it. You paid hard earned money for that and shouldn't have to run all over town looking for a plug for an incomplete kit!
