Need some advice..
Ok, this winter i definitly want to swap motors in my car.
It has a L03 in it as of now and I want two things, more performance and better running motor. My motor as of now smokes when you hit the gas then stops smoking and it also isnt all that quick..
Ive already been handed the 350 HO Delux crate option that converts to carb, but i would rather stay efi if possible..problem is i dont know if im going to have time to do this chip tuning stuff and the money to go buy it all..im on a limted budget..what would you guys do?

Hey man..Sweet ride. Looks like my car but Black.
My car was smoking too when I first got it. I did a full tuneup "plugs, Wires, Cap, Rotor, Oil change, Terra Clean" and that helped but then there was smoke coming from under the hood..found out my PCV valve was toast. I went to wally world and bought a new one for $4 and replaced it and now my engine runs awesome.

If it were me and I were going to spend all that money on a 350 HO crate motor but didn't plan on chip burning, I'd get the Deluxe motor and run the carb. If you get a crate motor like that and run TBI on it, or any other fuel injection, and don't plan on burning chips then you'll be disappointed. I don't think its even a question, a motor like that without chip burning and you WILL be disappointed in its performance. Go carb or learn to burn.
