I think im running rich at a hot start up

Hey everyone...
Sometimes when I shut off my car for a few seconds (getting gas, Running in the store real quick), when I start it back up she runs like crapo... I get a puff a black smoke that has that "rich" smell and she idles like she's going to die. After about 10 seconds she seems to compensate and runs fine.

Ive thought of a few possible problems.....
1. Leaking injectors
2. Funky ECM. I also have the stalling problem when I come to
a stop.
3. My TPS
4. My fuel pressure is too high (I have done the AFPR mod and cranked it up a little).
5. Timing too high (im running at about 4 degrees)

Here's the stuff I have done to my car:
TBI mods
LT1 cam
Cat back exhaust
New tranny
Recent tune up (plugs, wires, cap+rotor)
Homeade air intake

Whether it is the cause of you running rich or not you should tune your ECM, especially after swapping cams.

i hope A is not just one prom. I have burnt 50+ Proms for my car, and still don't have the tune perfect. Welcome to EFI.

I have done a couple proms but my problem with the rich startup began before the proms and the cam swap. Im going to try a couple things this week like checking out my TPS and fuel presure

you might just want to start with a tune up and replace your O2 sensors
