opinions on tbi build up
i want to build up my 305 tbi ( no i dont want to swap to a 350 so dont bother telling me to) i want to know aprox. what it could run in the 1/4 mile. this is going to b a low budget build up of my motor. i tried a search but this is diffrent from what i found. the parts i want to use are....
- l98 cam
- 454 truck tbi
- the aftermarket intake with the 2 inch bores
- i haven't decided on what heads to use yet but they got to be cheap. maybe l98 heads?
- and a chip from tbichips.com
- 3.42 gears posi
its already got exhaust so i dont need to do any of that. what do you think?

when it comes to a properly tuned engine, you need to invest in a chip programmer. it takes more then 1, 2, or 3 chip tuning sessions to get it right.

yea i might program my own chip but i'd have to spent a lot of time first learning how since i've never done it before. o and i think i want to use the 081 heads from the 305 tpi cars.

You should start immediately on learning about tuning your own chips. Virtually all the modifications you list will require (or at a minimum, be needed to make the car driveable) chip changes. In fact, you may find that there's room for improvement with your existing engine relative to "stock" tuning.
