L05 TBI Question
Where can i get a new or refurbished TBI for the L05.. I'm replacing the 305 with a recon L05 in my Firebired, or could i use the same TBI from the 305?

Correct. Both share the common 1 11/16" bore. Only difference is the injectors (the 350 running the larger injectors, obviously).

Off the top of my head, Turbo City is the name that comes to mind. However, I would think that for the price you pay there, the DIY guide is something to look at.

this is one of the responses that i got about what cam to use, what do you think? I'd consider using the factory roller cam out of a 350 RamJet crate motor.
It's got short duration and high lift. It's EFI friendly.
Make lots of power and torque for a daily driver.
A good match for the vortec head upgrade. Especialy if you have a low rear gear like 2.73's.
It will fit without cylinder head machining.
Camshaft: 14097395 Roller Tappet Design, Lift .431/.451”, Duration @ .050, .196/.207
You may be able to buy this cam from some of the "performance" GM dealers that sell upgraded crate motors an sell off the stock parts cheap.
Pace chevrolet, Sallee chevrolet etc .

Sounds like an Fbird'88 recommendation to me.
It is a small cam. Small enough to fit under the factory Vortec setup. Small enough to be EFI friendly.
It may or may not be the wisest choice. That all depends on what you want to get out of the engine. If you are looking for a cam that is pretty much a drop in and go and works with lower gears, then it looks like a decent choice to me. Another cam that has small duration and good lift is the LT1 cam from the F-bodies.
dur. @ .050": 203/210
Lift with 1.5 rockers: .447/.450
LSA: 117
It's pretty much up to you and how much tuning you want to do (if any at all) and what you want out of th engine.
