I think thats been covered here somewhere. Good article, though. I wonder how much more power was still hiding in it?

i was searching around turbo city's website and came across one of their performance kits which includes a custom chip for VORTEC heads. Its like $741 for their 1 13/16'' TBI, 68# injectors, and the custom chip. When reading the description, they sound like they just need your engine setup and no data logging info, i wonder how accurate they can get the tune. Also, im pretty sure the guy that tuned CHP's 305 VORTEC headed engine worked for turbo city or some $hit.

Anybody notice that they are using matched 55lb/hr injectors to make 330hp? Are they extra-ordinarily good tuners or is the 2hp/lbs of fuel rule of thumb too conservative when trying to figure out how big an injector you need?

They either raised the fuel pressure up near 20 psi, or they used injectors larger than what was claimed.
If they raised the fuel pressure, they might have also had some smoothness issues at idle and small rpm cruise UNLESS then also added a vFPR...... but that would have been a little bit tougher to tune.
It will be interesting to see what it runs at the track. If they really are getting 330 fwhp then it might run low 13s (at sea level), assuming they don't break anything.

I don't think that this can be verified, but the picture of the TB has a Turbo City FPR which is rated for 15PSI max

i dont want to see that car on the track as much as i want to see it on the sniffer. They talk about keeping the thing smog legal but i want to see the actual numbers, it is a CA car.
