Air/Fuel gauge says its running rich
I just installed a air fuel gauge in my camaro, The tranny is out on it right now but i can still drive it i first gear. Anyhow, i let the car warm up completely and drove it around the block, when i got back to the driveway, and let it idle the gauge was one green bar into the rich. How do i keep it from running rich?

Sounds like it may have gone into open loop. Dont know if the later ecms do that but mine does. In closed loop the AFR will bounce around like a ping-pong ball. Itll probably be a tad rich in open loop. Nothing wrong there.

As Minented said it should bounce back and forth when in closed loop. The AF gage is more of eye candy than anything usefull. Even at WOT when it goves you a steady reading the output of the gauge is a crap shoot at best. Our single wire 02's are horrendsouly inaccurate when you are 1 or 2 percent within stiochiometric.
