Throttle Position Sensor
Can someone please tell me what the Throttle Position Sensor does?
I assume by the name it sends a signal to the computer in regard to where the Throttle is.
What does the computer do with this information? Does the computer use the Throttle position calculation to adjust timing or control fuel input?
How will my motor run if the Throttle Position Sensor is not adjusted correctly?

Its just a rotary resister with ground at one end and +5 volts at the other and there is a sliding electrical contact(s) thats keyed into the throttle shaft. As it slides around the voltage at the contact varies from around .5 volts at idle to 4.5 volts or so at WOT and this tells teh computer how far the throttle is open.

So long as teh voltage isnt too high at idle you dont ahve to worry about the tps. The computer automatically calibrates itself by using the lowest voltage for the tps as its reference for closed throttle.
