I got these chrome valve covers. But there it no place on the new valve covers to connect this hose going from the stock valve covers to the TBI unit. Can I just plug the nipple on the TBI? What is this hose for? Thanks!

This is where it connects to, in the front of the TBI.

That is the PCV. You need it. You can get away with just a breather in its place but a PCV is a 2 dollar part.

Ok....So I can connect a PCV to the hose and connect the hose to the TBI. Then put on the valve covers and be fine? Sorry to sound thick-headed.

you have to have it hooked up to the valve cover.

I just read this posted by Air_Adam:

"I say use PCV because it will keep the inside of your engine and the oil cleaner, and it will also keep the outside of your engine cleaner too, espeically around the breather cap, because it sucks up all the fumes inside the engine and puts them into the intake to be burned."

Well, Is it ok not to use one? Can I cap-off the nipple on the TBI and just not have a pcv? Sorry to ask so many questions....

No it's NOT ok to run without one, the fumes inside the engine have to be sucked out by the PVC valve, it's there for a good reason.

I'm going with dual breathers. Thanks!

Jegs or Summit sell a breather with a PVC all in one, just reroute the tube.

Oh good, that would solve my problem, the holes in the valve covers are too large for the stock pcv, but breathers fit. I do want to run a pcv though. Thanks for the tip!

You also want vacume in the crankcrase to help the rings seal better.

Also, for people with aftermarket covers. You can get the alrger OD grommets, with the small ID for PCV. Just hit your local parts store and ask. It should run you just a couple of bucks.
