wondering how much power you think i gained going from a stock tbi v8, to a aprox. 9.5:1 piston and the roller vortec cam? it actually ran the same time as my hypertech chipped 305 did lol with all the same bolt ons it has now. im sure i need a good tune just waiting for enough money to do it myself.
So what hp you think a well tuned stock headed vortec cam tbi motor will make??

 

What are the specs on the Vortec cam?

Last I heard, they were something like a max of .420" lift @.050, which is tiny.

Someone just told me that was a stock Vortec cam spec, I have no concrete numbers, and no idea where you'd find them.

 

Mid 14's. The vortec cam is weak by performance standards, but it a major step up from the LO3 cam.
