What kind of hood do you have? and how much tuning do you want to do. When you put a big intake on you really need to spend some time with your AE tables or better known as pump shot. Air velocity slows way down at idle and then pics up fast when you get in the throttle so you need a ton more pump shot to avoid a bog or pop. RPM intake is a good if not one of the best street intakes, but alot of guys on here have had good luck with the low profile single planes like the accelerator or torker II, plus they'll fit under a stock hook where a rpm is gonna be close....like too close.

Every test that I've seen with a carb shows that RPM kicking asp below 4000 rpm, even through 6000 and 2-3 hp behind obove that when pitted againsta a victor. If your wanting to go MPI some time in the future a victor would be a good canidate for a DIY efi intake. Also the RPM flows more air than a stealth ram and has runners within a half inch of the stealth ram, only thing it has over the rpm is plenum volume and bling. Check out www.stealthram.com (i think thats it) they have some very interesting flow test. Kinda made me wanna slap some injector bungs in a rpm.

right now with a mildly modified chip i have more low end... it kinda sputters up top. but between 1500-3000 it pulls like crazy! especialy when i went back with the tbi from the carb. the carb was pretty good but when i got the 670 i think it helped alot.
