Dyno Sheet for my 92 RS

Well, here it is, not too impressive, but its a starting point. Here are my modsynomax shorty headers, K&N open element, 1in TB spacer, 3in flowmaster exhausts, and mail-order Hypertech chip.

If you can't see it, max is 171.4 RWHP and 257.8 RWTQ.

I need to do some cooling work(thermostat and fan switch) and do somthing to lean it out on top end. the A/F ratio is at the bottom, its hard to see, on top end my mixture was around 11.5.
Sounds like its time for a new chip...

Fan switch and t-stat. What were you planning? A 170* stat and a 195* fan switch?

I'm really not sure, I just know I need it, at the start of a dyno run, it was at 180* and at the end it was 230*

you could always wire up a manual fan switch, its really easy, then you can deside when it turns on.

I've heard of that Idea, is there a tech article on it or anything?

Looks like you have agreat start there. it would have been interesting to see your AF ratio and power curve with the stock chip. Now would be a good time to look into chip work. I think you would be suprised with the results.

the fan relay is located on the drivers side firewall. All i did was tap into the relay wire which is grounded when the fan kicks on (believe it is the black w/ green stripped wire), ran the wire through a 20 or 30 amp fuse and to a switch, then run another wire from the switch to a ground.

Do a search, there is alot of info about wiring a manual fan switch. Also, if you have a chilton's manual all the wiring diagrams are there and it is really easy to follow. Next time i have the hood up ill take a look and make sure that it is the black/green wire that you tap in to.

Those are good numbers for an L03 with those mods. I wouldn't be disappointed at all!

Benm109 - Why the 5amp fuse.. The green/white wire goes directly to the fan switch on the block, and grounds out there. And there is no fuse in between it and the relay.

The switch I bought recommended installing a 5 amp fuse to protect the switch. I know it's not really necessary, but I did not feel like voiding the warranty (it's not like switches are expensive, though).

well, I didn't really mean "add power" I meant keep me from losing power, because my engine can't perform its best at 245*, know what I mean?
