Absolute DOG at WOT!
I took the Camaro out of the garage for the first time since December today. It was up in my dad's garage in PA and I drove back down to MD. The car was the same when I drove up for storage, but I'll post about it now. Anyway, the car is an ABSOLUTE DOG during WOT. If I start from a stop and shift at 4400 or higher RPM, every gear feels the same. The engine is roaring but the car just feels the same through every gear...SLOW.
Since I bought the car I have done everything in my Signature. I have also replaced the plugs with AC Delco Rapid Fires, Replaced all vaccum lines, rebuilt the TBI, set the timing, replaced knock sensor, replaced O2 sensor, and changed the fuel filter. I don't know what else to do, the car is faster when I slowly accellerate rather than WOT. The car still has a little hesitation when stepping on the gas too. It also struggles sometimes when going up an incline in 5th gear between 40-50mph. Signs point to somewhere in the ignition, but I just don't know what.
I don't know what else to do guys!

My friends TBI 4.3 used to be like that too, he sold it before we figured it out.

Sounds like a fuel issue to me, have you ever replaced the fuel filter or pump? Can you get access to a FP guage and see if you have problems there?

Is it still the same fuel in the car that you had in it when it went into storage? Maybe it's just choking on the old fuel?

I have already replaced my fuel filter before putting it away for the winter. The gas is also fresh, so I know its not either of those. I guess it could be my fuel pump, but like I said, as long as its not at WOT it does fine. Are you sure this couldn't be an electronic issue? Something with the ESC or ECM???

Try a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in your tank, maybe you just got a little plugged up and the injectors just can't handle WOT.
