One sad Dilemma
Ok, here be the problem..... I have a 92 RS Heritage edition...... bad news is its got almost 220k on it now....(daily driver
) anyway, I can't decide whether to yank the engine and go to LO5 or keep the car stock (as it's in very good shape and appreciates in value a little more every day)
Any thoughts?

My advice.
being your daily driver, don't modify it. you need it to get to work, leave it alone. be good about maintance, and drive it. When you have means to get a daily driver, then think about modifing the car.
There was a time when I was doing modifications, and my car was my only car. Try explaining to your boss, that you can't get to work because you didn't get the car put back together over the weekend. Unmodified is reliable. Use the money for the L05, and buy a cheap honda or toyota to commute in, then save up again for modification money.

"if it ain't broke don't fix it" - well everything can be improved upon. I hate that saying lol, maybe because it's right. No one knows what you should do except you, if you want to build a motor, get a core and a engine stand, get your machine work done, you have all the time in the world to get it done right with whatever parts combination you want. If you just want your car to last, don't really want to have to be tinkering with it all the time, get a stock crate motor and your good for another 200k miles, less the trans puking it's guts up.

I agree with what everyone said above. If this car has to be driven every day than you need to keep the mods minimal. Build an engine on the side. Unforntunatly these cars have zero value. Especially ones with as many miles as yours. It is truly sad how little these cars are worth. At one point I was reluctant to mod my car because it had only 21k miles on it. I talked to a few insurance places and found out how much my car was worth on full coverage if it were to be totaled. I had more than one place say they would give me like $1100 as a pay out should that happen. Needless to say I dropped my full coverage and picked up the Jegs hotline

I think I'll probably leave be for now, keep it stock and spend the money on my other toys, seeing as how its made it this far... plus I walked off with the car, had it three years, put 125K on it, and payed 2500 for it. Guess i can't complain too much, at least its not a four-banger
