Look into checking your cables for wear or sticking especailly the go fast cable....Came within feet of running down a cop

Cable stuck on me at wot a few weeks ago on the highway but i tapped it and it kicked out, so i went and ordered a new one from the dealer after i checked everything else so i'm pulling out of teh dealersip onto colfax and she sticks on me well about a block up a aurora pd officer is running radar he steps out into my lane with the STOP clipboard. I'm watching the speedo cross 65 and its not tapping out so i go for the key and slam on the brakes shut it down within 5 feet of the cop i stop after sliding for a good 10. This doesnt make cops happy, he came to the window and me out of the car checking my pockets and crap and jsut chewed me a new one so i finally get to tell my story at this point theres 2 more squad cars behind us....I showed him the cable popped the hood and jiggled the throttle loose so i was let off with a defective vehicle ticket which pisses me off but its better than the 25 over ticket he could have given me. Check your cables i'd hate to see something bad happen to someone on here
