need more power
I have an 83 firebird w/305 engine . I have heddman headers & y-pipe w/no cat and 3 inch hooker exhaust . I want to get an intake manifold but don't know which one to get. I still have the stock carb , but will be changing that in the near future . so my ? is can I use a performance manifold w/the stock carb , and if so which manifolds should I look into ?
Also what other mods can I do that are inexspensive and relatively easy to do ? If anyone can give me a little assistance with this I would really appriciate the insight .
also can anyone tell me around how much power I may have gained over stock with the exhaust I mentioned ? I also took out my smog controll.

i would just say to look at jeg.com, summitracing.com. and im pretty sure edelbrock, holley, and other manifold would work with your original carb. just guessing.

Welcome aboard! Take some time to use the search function to gain some insight to TBI intake slection. Make sure you search in the TBI forum under terms like "best intake manifold". You will get numerous posts and old threads devoted to this topic. Also, take a look at the stickies above that cover TBI modding in great detail. They will help you choose your next mod as well as having write ups on intake manifold selection. Because this is a commonly asked question and the answers are already in the archives of TGO, I will shut this one down to reduce the amount of redundent topics. A few minutes of your time should yeild you pletny of reading material.
Good luck and happy modding!
