was wondering if a tbi spacer would actually add hp/tq? and would an injector spacer add hp/tq? just wondering there only like 15bucks shipped. and the tbi spacer is 40bucks shipped.

I have not seen any before and after dyno runs of people using either of those spacers, but I think injector spacers work pretty well, especially considering their price. Anything that helps get more airflow in can't hurt.

TBI spacers get mixed reviews. Although, it usually seems like it's too much trouble to install them. Any spacer over 1/2" seems to cause serious throttle linkage and TV cable (on automatic cars) problems.

I'd just get an injector spacer and call it even.

instead of buying a spacer for the inj.I just doubled up on the gasket (cheap)and it raised the pod just like the spacer for less money and the gasket doesnt seal anything anyway

The injector spacer has been proven to add a few CFM's. I believe kdrolt has the info/links to the flow bench data of a stock TBI tested in this manor. The TBI spacer is another animal. It's design should work but most of us who have them are dissapointed. I have no track times or dyno runs to quantify my dissapointment but the slight plenum increase it provides was not worth the effort to install it.

This topic has been beat to death - TBI spacer will help low end performance, but nothing else. TBI injector spacer will increase air flow and offer better fuel cone pattern. The injector spacer can be seen on the link here: TBI injector spacer

the tbi spacer is not all that hard to install I have a 1" spacer and it only took about 30 minutes to install, getting the linkage to hook is not that hard once installed opened up the throttle all the way and it should all hook on with minimal effort, and when i did mine bothe the tbi and injector spacer, as well as goign toan open element filter I could actually feel a small low end difference, the big thing is the more mods the more difference it will make due to increased air flow.

I think an injector spacer is a MUCH better and more logical investment than a Tornado.

Maybe you should get two tornados and then you have like supercharged air going into another tornado supercharger.

The TBI spacers are designed to help out up top, larger plenum volume, higher powerband. Do they work for a near stock 305 with crappy heads and weak cam shaft? Not sure, but I'd guess probably not. If your intake wasn't matched well to the H/C package, I could see a spacer helping. Hot Rod's cranked out a bunch of articles on carb spacers:

The best TBI spacer is a nitrous plate
