Crossfire TPS?

I had to change my valve cover gaskets over the weekend, and the TPS interfered, so I had to take it off. I failed to realize that it was adjustable when I removed it. When I re-installed it, the check engine light came on giving me a code 22.

I have the Chilton's manual, and the haynes manual, and they say little, if anything for the crossfire.

Using my digital voltmeter, I've set the tps voltage at closed throttle to .2, .4, .5, .55 volts, but none of them clear the code....

Am I missing something?

Thanks

You can save these on your computer and zoom in on them if they are hard to read. If you want better scans just PM me and I can email them.

Thank You, That is just what I needed, I adjusted it to .525 volts, and the check engine light was still on... Then I left the jumper wires in, with the volt meter still connected and started the car, the check engine light went out...

It was a combination of misadjustment, and a bad connection in the wiring harness. I cut the connector from a Fiero parts car and soldered it in, and now with the proper adjustment, it works great!

Thanks!

That looks like a factory service manual. There isn't much a service manual can't help you with, I know I use mine all the time. You can get them from Helms, if your interested:

That is correct, the photos are from the factory service manual. I got mine off of Ebay a while back. They usually have them on there alot. You can get a good deal if you check often. Some people want a lot like between 30 and 50 bucks used. You could probably get a "new" one for that price. I got mine for like 10 bucks.

Re: Crossfire TPS?

This is a blast from the past....
I got tired of messing around with the crossfire, had a throttle shaft leaking vacuum. Hard to find parts. I removed the whole setup about two years ago and put a edelbrock performer rpm air gap and quadrajet carb on it. I saved it all, and I may give the car to my son soon. I may put the crossfire back before I give it to him. Haven't decided yet.
