350hp 305?

Taken from: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1991-...QQcmdZViewItem

New 305 engine block from a Trans Am
Bored 30 over
Wiseco pistons
rings
rod bearings
main bearings
lifters
pro comp cam
timing chain and gears
crank shaft was turned
oil pump
engine was completely balanced and blueprinted
heads were completely rebuilt
valve springs
valves
rockers
push rods
ported and polished
brand new water pump
starter
alternator
plugs and wires.

He spared no expense on the motor or on the car. As of now the motor has a stock intake and exhaust on it. He put those parts back on so you can here the car run when you come to look at it, and are in good condition. But he has thousands in brand new parts still waiting to go on to the motor and drive train. He has a brand new Edelbrock TBI performer intake, Edelbrock Elite series polished valve covers, Edelbrock pro flo chrome air cleaner, March racing pulleys (polished), Headman headers (shorties), Complete Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust system, 2 1/2" from the Collector to 3" out the back with stainless tips built in. These parts are all brand new in the box and have never been bolted on. The engine complete with all of the parts and mods listed is etimated to put out well over 350 horsepower
Ok, first, why a 305? And how is it new if it came from a TA? Also, I don't think the intake and pulleys cost 'thousands'... and 350hp from a 305 TBI?

Is this guy high?

That car does not have 350hp. He doesn't dive into the specs enough but based on his explanation of the car it is safe to say that he is clueless. It only takes one sucker to make a sale. I will proably have to shut this thread down soon. That ebay link will die and this thread would clutter the archives.

Yes, I am aware of that, but I wanted to show people the kind of sellers that take advantage of people on ebay!

All too many times I've seen sellers make things up just take advantage of ignorant buyers! (like all the stock 350 T5 cars)

Shiftys right, this has happened WAY to many times, and there have been quite a few threads about it. I'm gonna go ahead and kill this one now, but do be warned about idiots selling stuff on Ebay...
