yep, just run the hose from the back of the intake in the the inlet of the heater core and cap off the "T" with a 3/4 rubber cap from vatozone on the outlet line that runs from the hear core to the radiator. very simple fix.

but this way you'll have hot coolant constantly goign thru the core though right Rob?

i think it will, but thats also the way it was stock on my 89 mustang and i already deleted the a/c so i wont be turnin the air on in the summer anyways so it should be ok, i guess lol

it is true but not really enough to make a big difference. I've run it on my TBI car and now my L98 with almost no difference. It won't hurt anything in the slightest.
FINALLY here to participate in this thread appropriately. Ive come a long way but STILL have a LOOOOONG way to go. gotta wash and clean that thing up and finish removing stuff. 3rd picture is the heater only box i got out of a 91' s10 for $20 at the boneyard. it fits but most (about all) the holes dont line up correctly. ill make a few to screw it in then just gasket seal it up to the firewall. that sounds kinda crazy though. ill just screw all the holes LOL but yeah, using everyones pics as inspiration and guidance. how do you guys get the oil stick back in after installing headers???? it may be just me...i also think my brother bent my oil stick holder pipe while helping me put them in. the stick only goes down about 6/10ths the way (now matter how many times i remove and reinsert or twist and spin it) and its angled in between 2 of the header tubes is that normal???
jahblah, you live in Rocky Mount huh? I have family in Stanley and Gastonia, lol.
word, cool. that means they are about 4+hrs away from me near the big city of Charlotte, NC. i was going to go to gastonia because someone was selling a firebird twin turbo hood for $100 on craigslist but with the drive and gas factored in..i decided id pass lol

have a quick question for people with a strut brace, i plan on buying one for my tbi rs and was wondering how much room between the bar and the header? i ask this because i plan installing my bbs turbo header and dont know if theres enough room for a turbo if i buy a strut bar
i like that dual snorkel and what radiator is that.
It's a BeCool all aluminum radiator.
I live in the Mojave desert. It gets extremely hot out here, so I decided to upgrade the entire cooling system. I also installed an Edelbrock aluminum water pump, and dual electric fans.
Alright, heres mine. LT1 cam and a fresh valve job, yes my A/C works! Wasn't sure about the Corvette silver on the valve covers, but it I like how it turned out.
Have you considered buying some weatherstrip and riviting it to the base of the air cleaner to seal the engine heat out of your air cleaner?
I did that on the last TBI swap I messed with.
The filter top actually sits about 1in inside the opening with 1/4in of space around it. The nice slow draw of ambient air with the "Extra Air" filter top cools it down some.
Also the engine temps are not to bad. 190* max even it traffic.
Its pretty much exactly the way I hoped it would look.
Thank you for the suggestion though.
