azvolfan, how did you get the dual snorkel to fit?? I heard dual snorkels wouldnt fit because of some of the components we have in our engine bays??

 

I deleted my AIR system and bypassed the heater core diverter valve today.



Summit sells a dress up kit for our cars. comes with center bolt valve covers, chrome oil cap, chrome breather, chrome steering fluid cap, and a chrome brake fluid cap. I'm gonna scoop that set up soon

 

jim p, where did you get that breather from?? I need to get one when i get my open element, but wasnt sure where. How much did that run you too???

 

i got it from advance auto parts. APC makes it for hondas or whatever, but it was the only thing they had that fit my car so I bought it. It was around $10

 

Waht size is that again that we need to get?? I know shifty told me at one point, but ive since forgotten... Or can i just go in and tell them what my car is and they'll hook me up...

I'll be running 12's down the track with the windows up and A/C blowin' in my face next summer

 

T-Tops are a good thing.

And I already run 12's. ;-) I don't talk about running them next year.

hey shiftycapone how did u get a strut tower brace on yours i thought they only made them for tpi did u have to modify one or somethin??

 

Teh bodies so tweaked it wont really help. New t-tops may help, but it would probably be marginal. The stripping is in good shape. The hatch leaks as well, and its not the welding flaw that was present in some of the cars. Teh only real correction for it is a good ol' hardtop like g o d intended.

If you will notice I have moved the coolant bottle to the drivers side and removed the washer bottle. Other than that, the diverter valve is in the way a bit. But it works out ok.

 

Here's an old one without the a/c back on. Need to finish the strut tower brace and install the 350. WIGOMA

 

 

As mentioned above Edelbrock makes one for TBI/Carb cars that retails for about $130 before tax. You can get it from Jegs and or Summit.

hey need,what size belt did you use to be able to get rid of the left side bracketry?And are to you using any kind of tensioner?i`ve really been thinking of doing the same thing,also does anybody know how to reroute the big wire loom that sits above the intake on the passenger side?

However the price of seeds is a lot cheaper than gasoline

Is that a repainted Edelbrock strut brace.. or... is it a custom made one ?

 

Its the edelbrock STB, the powder coat was pealling off so I took it off and sanded it then threw some clear coat on it.
