O rings for fuel lines on TBI unit

O rings for fuel lines on TBI unit

where do you get new O rings for tbi unit lines ??

auto zone or o reillys or napa have them ?

thats all the stores we have here

what are these made of?
and what is safe to lube them with to help them slip on easier ?

You can get them from any auto parts store. Sometimes they come in an entire rebuilt kit but you may be able to get them sold separately. A little tranny fluid is all that is needed to lube them.

TurboCity sells both of those kinds of washers separately, but their prices are a little high, and of course, you have to deal with shipping costs and waiting for the parts to come.

O-rings:

Shifty's right, though. You should be able to get the o-rings from an auto parts store, or even a dealership if need be. I think AC Delco/GM part number 22516256 is the right O-ring kit, but I can't confirm that 100%.

Autozone tbi kit...about $6.00 ....ask for a GP SORENSON fuel injection repair kit part# 96-3013A...It has everything you need in it...and do use trans fluid lube trick it really helps on instalation of those o-rings...I may have a pic of the kit if i do I'll post it

Must be a different kit than the one I bought ... also at Autozone... also.. a Sorenson kit .. but it cost something like 25 bucks

there are two diff kits one has the fuel press reg diaphram and one doesn't..the one with is more money...this one did not have it with the kit....thats probably the price diff unless the kits are just more where you are...I'm in TN....if they are alot more I would be glad to buy one and whoever needs one can just pay shipping..which wouldn't be enough to make it $25 or even close.....go to autozones website and search for it they show it and a price......dave

Hmmm sounds about right now that ya mention it ... that the price I paid was for the complete rebuild kit ... the other one is cheaper then .. kewl
