breather size?
hi,
just al small question::
what is the size of our valvecover holes?
i put on a open element and a push-in breather but the breather was too big for the hole.
it was a breather for 1,22'' holes.
the grommet was out and stuck so now i can't drive pffff.

Don't quote me on this, but I think the holes are 1" (don't have stock valve covers to check). I do know that the holes in the grommets for the breather and PCV valve are 3/4". If the old grommet in the valve cover for the breather is good, you could just find a 3/4" push-in breather to use. That's what I had to do.

I use the breather now.
I used a course piece to make the breather fit right.
The breather was for the 1 1/4''hole but is looks nice now
i can not post a picture because i have tbi-truck and not a 3rd-gen ,

Thanks,
the sound is with the k&n 14'' much better.
i think that it's running al little better but within 2 weeks i'm going to log the truck again.
i must first make a fuel pump swap to a Walbro255 and a high stall converter.

Maybe you see another hole on the passenger side but that's for the pcv-valve.
The pcv-valve is still there but because i went to an open element i use a breather for my crankcase vent.
The covered breather was because i live in Holland(Europe)and there is little choice between them ,besides it looks good.
