305 / 350 Question...

I have recently purchased a 91 Camaro RS, and the guy I bought it from said he put in a 99' Chevy 350 vortec small block, and put the TBI 305 top end on it. He also used the 305 heads so it has higher compression. I know this is true because he has receipts. Just wondering since I am relatively new to V8's, what anyone thinks of this setup? I realize it could be better, but I was wondering what the HP and Torque might be on something like that. The 99' block came from a truck and only has 13,000 miles on it right now... I am thinking about converting it back to a vortec multi port injection with the vortec heads. I am just looking for anyones overall input.

Thanks

That guy needs to put the crack pipe down. Does it also have the crappy tbi roller cam in it as well?

Id personally just put the right heads back on it and take it from there. The conversion using the vortec mpfi stuff will be involved and will require changing out the harness and all other stuff specific to the vortec motor. Not impossible... IIRC youll also have to open up the computer and make some minor mods to it, and then reflash it to disable the error codes and other stuff that goes along with the auto trans.
