My question regards adjustable fuel pressure regulators. I have purchased a 2" TBI unit from xtreme-fi and it came with an afpr. What is the best way to adjust the fuel pressure? My car does not have any pressure taps in the fuel lines so were is the best spot to monitor the pressure. I have been reading many threads on this site and have learned alot of info on prom tunning. I am sure the answer for this is out i just have not been able to find it.

 

Moved to TBI. Basically you need to add a pressure port in the feed line.

They are very cleanly made. Fair warning though, that thing is quite a bit longer than the stock adapter, and it can make fitting the lines difficult if you don't have a TB spacer. Even with the spacer, I had to tweak the coil and line a bit to get it all to fit.

FWIW, I have a 0-30 psi gauge on one port and I'm installing a 1/4" shrader in the other. Strangely, my brand new mechanical 0-30 gauge went out (I assume, will check when shrader is in place) last weekend. After about 5 hours on the trail, it started reading 5psi, but the engine still ran fine, so it has to be off...

 

dude that is the coolest adapter yet...I have a quick question..what is a shrader valve..I think i know but im not for sure...

 

It's like a tire valve stem or AC charge port, made for holding in stuff under pressure. But in this case, it's the same as used in other EFI systems like TPI where you just screw on a fuel pressure test gauge.
