That is the perfect car for you to get the appropriate sensors. In fact, almost all the modules, sensors, etc from that car will work on yours. The harmonic balancer, EGR valve, O2 sensor, Injectors, etc etc etc. Perfect match for our third gens.

ESC Module GP Sorensen# EL605 GM# 16128261
Knock Sensor GP Sorensen# KS6 GM# 10456288
Injectors GP Sorensen# 800-1807N GM#

Well, this is a brief list, but you should do great if you get all your parts from a 90 Chevy Caprice with a 350 TBI. I did a TON of research on this vehicle and the parts needed for my 92 bird. Cross referenced all of them with GM.

If you have ANY questions at all please let me know ok?

Good luck with your swap. It will be well worth it when she is done.

yeah it ran for about a month and then it stopped, the old wiring harness was all messed up. so I ordered a new one, and I couldnt remember if I got the right sensors or not. so I'm takin it slow and making sure everything is right.

oh I do have another question though, originally we were going to put a TPI system in, but we didnt, but we had already changed the fuel pump to the correct one for a TPI, now, when the camaro did run for that month or whatever, it would start, idle really rough, blow out some black smoke then after like 30 seconds or so it would idle out......now, do I need bigger injectors or do I need a fuel pressure regulator.

Best thing to do is to check your fuel pressure to see where it is at. You need 350 injectors for sure no matter what fuel pump you have. A typical tpi fuel pump is in the 40+ psi range so that is way too much for the tbi. Tbi's only like 9-13 psi and really 11-12 is best for most applications from what i understand.

Your fuel pressure regulator should automatically take care of it for you, but I am not certain about that.

if you ever need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator you can get one from AutoZone. GP Sorensen # 800-225. The GM part # on your regulator unit should be 17064317. The GP listing is actually for a 95 GMC pickup 1500 with a 350 tbi. LOL. Crazy stuff. They have exactly the same fuel pressure regulator as our 305/350 tbi's lol, and it is ADJUSTABLE!!!

Again, check your fuel pressure and see where it is before you do anything else. More than likely it is 42 psi with a tpi pump. Please ask a moderator or two on this site about your regulator to see if it will handle that kind of pressure. I think it will without a problem, but.....

Good luck.

Alright thats what I thought about the tpi having more psi, I just forgot, but do you think that maybe that was what the clicking was that I hear on the tbi? maybe there was to much pressure and finally its caused a problem? it wont idle at all
