I have been playing in the garage again!
Well it seems like I do this about once a month. Here is what I have played around with over the past 2 weeks.
Friday night I made a few videos to show off the 350 TBI in the 5,300 lbs G20. Ended up being decent.
YouTube - Chevy Van 350 1
(Ignore the PS whine and my passenger (younger brother) saying " YOU ALMOST MISSED HIM" (A pickup on the service road was doing about 70 and I had to stop)
YouTube - Chevy Van 350 2
Somehow when I went for the signal, the camera got stopped and started in close succession.
YouTube - Chevy Van 350 3
Another on-ramp with more power steering whine and my passenger complaining about the traffic. I really couldn't open it up through more than 1st gear due to the economy car that I would have run over if I had.
Here are some pictures, they are worth 1,000 words. Basically I did my magic to a set of swirl ports and installed a L03 roller cam in place of the Ramjet one. Makes tons more low-speed torque, but falls flat on its face at 4,000. I actually like it better, I think.
FWIW, WOT shift points are at 4,500 RPM.

My open element being traded out (took a V6 camaro air scoop, end from a caprice air cleaner snorkel, and my stock V8 van air cleaner. Works as an effective CAI now, much quieter than the open element under load

I promise, I didn't rob it from a V8 car, I got it from a 1983 Camaro with a carbed 2.8. Wrecked at that.
Oh yeah, I put some cool wire looms on it too, cheap as well.
