Looking for a person to do chip burning
OK I am sticking with TBI on my 1992 Camaro 305 TBI. I have done many mods to my car including a cam and it is running and runs fine until closed loop at idle. Thats were you can tell I really need a custom chip badly. I know most of you guys don't want a begger on here wanting a custom chip. But I need one bad and I really don't want to wast $120 with tbichip.com. So I'm in need of someone to burn a custom chip for my car. I will tell you all the specs of my car. I know it will not be perfect since my car is not in your hands but I just want my car to perform better than it does now. If you are anywhere close to me, I could even drive my car to your house and you could work your magic on it.
Thanks,
Cory Mohr
P.S. I live in Van Wert, Ohio (NW ohio) which is about 30 minutes away from Lima, Ohio.

Ok I'll be the first to tell you, you could spend that 120$ on the equipment to do it yourself. Then it wouldn't be wasted. I'll even post up a bin with what the avg. chip company does to them. It won't make your car run any better, that will take data logging and tuning by you to see why your idle is messed up.

Buying the tools to tune the car yourself is the way to go. Like BM said, if you do it yourself, at worst you will end up with a tune that will be just as good as anything you could buy for the same price from someone else and you will have all the means to change the tune if you not happy with it.
I can tell you first hand that a lot of the TBI people on this site know what they are talking about, and would be happy to help you with any problem that you might come across, especially BMmonteSS. It's also very rewarding to see almost instant improvments by making your own changes.

I know I am just worried that I won't know what to do once I get all the proper equipment. Which I need help with that. What all do I need to get start burning? Also what kind of chips do I need to get. Where can I get this equipment at. If anybody is near me I would gladely take my car to your house and have you keep it for as long as you needed to make the chip. And I have read the diy prom tuning and I still don't know what a .bin is, or for example 30$ means? I don't want to be a pain to you tbi guys because I have had this same post before trying to get someone to do it for me. I just want my TBI to run right and I am not willing to just throw a carb on it, yet.

I don't know where you would find a simplified step by step explanation of what equipment is needed, how to use it, and what to start with when tuning.

Take these guys advise I was in the same exact boat in the spring, begging for the same exact thing, and they all told me the same thing, buy the equipment. And I tell you what, it was worth it, if I would have know 4 years ago what the chip burning equipment and work could do for my car i would have done it years ago. you wont be sorry for doing it, trust me, and it will give you a better understanding of what your car is doing and what it likes. TRUST ME!!!
