I use AC Delco all around on everything. Just the plain old standard plugs. I had Bosch platinums a while back and had some weird problems that I figured were ignition related. Pulled a few plugs and the terminals had unscrewed themselves partially and were loose! As you can imagine, they weren't firing right.

Agreed. Many years ago I wasted $40 or so on a set of fancy plugs only to have them foul out in a few thousand miles. Plain jain run of the mill AC delcos are what these cars like.

Yep...........same here. Just last month the wife's Camaro started skipping and low and behold the terminal had unscrewed and fell off on one. First and last set of those.

Plain old AC's from now one.....always was on my car

I have the same ghetto autolites in my car, had them for 4 years or so now. I like to just given them a good 1/4 mile pass with some nitrous, everyone once in a while. Makes them last forever, cleans them up good. ;-)

Just don't dump money into stuff like spark plugs. A good old delco, or NGK is fine. Just make sure it is the right heat range.

Road Atlanta yeah, but I've been busy with so many other projects (time and cash) it will not be soon it looks like. I may even change the 3.73's to 3.42's before trying to get up there. And a fresh engine.....LOL

Did you go to PIR this year for Track days?

Edit.....another reason for the 3.42's is as of today I'm totally fed up with trying to get rid of the spikes with the DDG speedo box. With the 3'4's I can change the gear in the T5 and be done.

No, I'm daily driving my car (Audi issues, well, ok I'm freakin' lazy and haven't worked on the Audi). So I have avoided the race track, I don't need to break my way to work. I don't know that I will get out next year either. I am going to Africa for a month next summer, and I have zero money (i don't know how I am going to pay for that trip). So camaro upgrades and racing is on hold.

Well, I could, I have the motorcycle to ride, but that is not much fun, when it is 40* and raining, with a 50mph wind.

Yeah, 3.42's are probably a good choice, how long is the straight at RA?

I don't remember footage wise but long enough to get out of 4th with the 3.73's. 5th will not have much pull but might not be worth changing except for the speedo and cruise rpm issue which means more to me now than the top end at RA

Hehe, the speedo thing. I am very good at figuring speeds-10% now. After a couple of years of knowing my speedo is about 10% off. (3.08-3.42).

I'd never run Bosch platinums in any V8 engine. They just don't work well in them. I've run plain AC Delco's and plain Champions. I actually felt a little better power and response running the Champions. As far as Autolites, I wouldn't even run one of those in my lawn mower let alone my car.

Re: plug question.

Never had any luck with the Bosch. ACs are the way to go. You dont even need to go platium with these. Regular old ones work great.
