Head CC, and Vortecs

I have a 92 RS with the LO3 engine and am wondering what the CC of these heads were, and also if it would be beneficial for me to get the Vortecs when the new TBI Manifold comes out. What kind of power gains should I see with these mods?

I think they are 51cc's. If you put the vortecs on a 305 you have to mill them 45 thousanths. stock vortec heads are 64cc's. hope this helps. You can get 325HP out of a mild 305 with vortec heads and performer RPM intake and a 600CFM.

What is the purpose of milling the heads?? Does that change the cc's?? What cc heads do you wanna put on a 305 block?

I heard that the stock 305 TBI heads are 58cc

car craft did a tech on this engine build up. Milling the heads will give you back the compression you lose by bolting 350 heads on a 305. It'll bring the cc's down if thats what makes sense.
