AFPR mod...results

Just got my AFPR in, set at 15 PSI. Very good mod, I can definetly feel the difference with it in.

As far as I know these LO3's are almost lean from the factory, so adding headers exhaust and an open air filter only makes this worse.

I am going to the track this weekend, and hopefully with the lower temps, I'll get a nice new(lower) e.t. to report to you.

I am using a turbo city AFPR, it's the exact same as if I adjusted the stock one, I'm just lazy.

You can put in a gauge in to monitor the pressure, but you would most certaintly keep that under the hood, as it requires being hooked up to the fuel lines, not a good thing to have in the car.

I thought 15 psi was a little high myself, but it is running real good right now, in the past I had gotten lean exhaust engine codes, so i think this has helped correct the problem. Plus the spark/intake/exhaust mods done to the car make this a pretty good setup. It feels faster, but I'm going to the track this weekend to be sure.

You can also buy electrical pressure gauges that send the pressure to the gauge via wire so that you don't have fuel in your interior. As usual they cost a lot more than the regular gauge.

How do you guys figure out your fuel pressure, I have a JET AFPR on my tbi and a Autometer fuel pressure gauge which reads 15 to 18 all the time. I'm basically reading the pressure from the pump.

I got my jacobs ignition directly from jacobs(that was a mistake!) but summit sells them for about $50 cheaper, so I would get it from there. It's really easy to install(the plugs on these cars are annoying) and you do get the bonus anti theft switch for free. I wired mine under the hood and don't really use it, but it is there.

I missed the last test and tune of the season at MIR, so I don't have any new numbers. But i do plan on going for some g tech runs this weekend, and I have about 20 runs on this for a baseline, so I will be able to give you something in about a week.
Best g tech run in the past was a 14.7 at 99mph.
