Heads and Camshaft
1. What cc size is the 1992 LO 3 heads is it 58 or 64?
2. I am currently building a 350 motor that iI plan on getting a custom chip made for. Tell me if this cam would seem good for power and also for the computers compatability?
Comp Cams Hyd Flat Tappet #12-268-4
Adv duration 268/280
Duration @0.050 lift 224/230
Lift 0.479/0.480
Lobe seperation 114 degrees.
By the way this is a cam for a TPI, and also does anyone know the type of hp i can expect?
Thanks in advance

WAIT.........apparently people are running 224 and much bigger on this board. Go to the TPI section and check out the thread on it. Personally, I don't know how the hell their cars even run w/ those size cams. I had a built 350 making 427 HP and had a 224 in her and it would idle pretty rough.

Why have you chosen to go with a flat tappet cam rather than a roller? If I was going through the process of building a motor I'd go ahead with the roller type, even though it is more expensive (assuming that's why you've downgraded to flat tappet).

thats a good cam for a 350 would probably do real well with some ported aluminum L98 vette heads
no cam is computer friendly.. some are easier to tune for, but you have to tune for ALL of them
the wide lobe sep is easier to deal with however, and will make good power
the LO3 heads are around 55 cc's
and im assuming you are going with TBI just using a cam advertised for TPI.. should run well
