How do you adjust running to lean or rich
How do you adjust running to lean or rich
The reason i ask is because i am taking off my cat and read some posts saying you will lose low end power. It sounded like you would lose it do to running to lean. Should i just not do anything b/c i am putting in 3.73 gears and will have gained a whole lot of low end power.
If you disconnect your battery wont it adjust your air/fuel ratio anyway?

disconnecting your battery will just reset your computer. you computer adjusts whether you are lean or rich.
or you could boost your fuel pressure. new chip too would be correct solution.

The reason you lose low end power isn't because of running lean or rich. Street engines have can profiles that work best with a certain amount of backpressure in the exhaust system. The reduction in backpressure at lower rpm is what reduces power, but only by a minimal amount. The power you gain at higher rpm more than makes up for it. Besides, who races at 2000 rpm anyway?
