Car Running Hot all of a sudden..Help!!

I have a 92 Camaro RS that I store for the winter but about once or twice a week I start it and take it for a short drive. Last summer I put a Low Temp Thermostat in it that worked great. All of a sudden the Temp is gettin real high when the car is just idling... any ideas what is wrong??

Did you change the chip when you swapped the stat? Its a mod that should be done together to adjust the computer for the different temps when the fan is supposed to come on.

Just at idle? Check to make sure that your fan is coming on when it starts to get hot.And you might want to check your water pump.

I would check and make sure your air damper is still there(located right below radiator)and if it isnt cost is about $30 dollars. If thats not it make sure if you have an electric fan that it is running. One time I had to bang it with a screwdriver to get me home in the heat of sunner. Sometimes the radiator can get dirt and other debris get caught in the element. Take a air hose and blow out from other side. Also try flushing system out. If thats not it check your timing thats all i know good luck!
