Ive heard many people talk about their custom cold air boxes. Im wondering what it takes to make one, and exactly how much it helps performance. Any links to a good tech article on it or can anyone tell me exactly what i need and how to make one? I'm in between jobs right now so i have a lot of time, however only a little bit of money. But im looking to use this time, and some of the money i have to fix my lil tbi up.

 

You can check out the one I did for my '88 TA. It may give you some ideas and cost less than $30.

Steve...thats totally something i was looking for!!! How much of a performance gain did you feel? Do you think it was worth it over just having the open element suck in hot air??? How did this feel as opposed to the dryer ducting induction? Was it worth it to go this route instead of the ducting??? How long did it take you to make that?

 

you can get one from a gm dealership. dont know how much. 20$ maybe???
