power problems on my 88 convertible
power problems on my 88 convertible
i'm having some problems with my 1988 305 camaro. i have 2 of them and one of them has really good acceleration and the gas pedal has great response, but on the other one it is alot stiffer gas pedal and has problems accelerating the same. they are both the exact same car (both 88 camaro convertibles) but the one just doesnt run the same. if i floor the gas it doesn't have the same power and sometimes it stutters and misses and it really frustrating. i was just wondering if anyone knows anything i can check or do. thanks.

Have you done just a basic tune up? Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil, coil, fuel filter, etc? Fuel filter is in bold because it is often overlooked and can cause problems like this. It is under the car, under the driver side rear seat. Something like $9, and driving the left rear tire up onto some bricks or some blocks of wood should get the car high enough to access the filter. You'll get some gas on you, so be careful.
