Thats pretty tight looking. The wing looks like the one that Mecham used on his third gen Mr MSE cars. In any case it is a beautiful example of a F-Body.

1988 Camaro
305 bored .030 over
Stock TBI
Aluminum radiator
No smog pump
gutted factor cleaner
cam ground to crane specs
timing advanced 9 degrees
no thermostat
other than that its bone stock and ran a 16.4 @ 82 mph with earth shattering wheel hop and a 2.88 60 ft time. (this was with the rebuild and cam only)

I wish it was mine. this guy is in Sweeden. I love the rims on it, very different look. I bet he needed bolt on spacers though. I don't care for those at all. Wing is stock aerowing, like mine

you sure? when did TPI start? I thought the top f-bodies had TBI inbetween TPI being introduced and carb being kicked out. wasn't that '87? I'm pretty sure '86 was the last carb year.

Carb stopped in 87 with the "LT," that model was the same as the sport coupe and they made only a few of them. Then came the RS with TBI option. I don't know much about the birds except that the TTA is the fastest and coolest and GTA seats kick butt. Oh yeah, and the firebird guages look like crap , almost as bad as the stock camaro square steering wheels (fugly). TPI was what? 86 in the camaro's and 85 in the vettes? Before that there was crossfire injection, what mess. Taz, I can bet 3/4 of your posts are non-tech! We need to stick to tech. Like I said before, post a GOOD tech question and at the end through in something non-tech but DON'T make the subject non-tech.

88 first for TBI, 87 last for carb. Unless you count CFI then '82 first for TBI.

Yes, I'm very sure. Check the tech database on here. TBI was never the highest performance engine in thirdgens. TPI started in 85. Carb's last year was 87.

meaning some TAs and IROCs had TBI. When was that? I know its not the top engine but that doesn't mean you couldn't get them with the top cars.

When I was car shopping last time I saw a '86 IROC w/ a 305 TBI. It was not the "top" engine but it was still a IROC.

Like I said, check the tech database. That 86 IROC with TBI had to be a conversion. TBI started in 88.
The LG4 was the base engine for 85-87 IROCs and Trans Ams. TPI was the upgrade engine. TBI was the base engine for 88-89 IROCs and Trans Ams. TPI was the upgrade. TPI was the base engine for 90-92 IROC/Z28's and Trans Ams.
