That system with a Holley 670 cfm TBI would be just as fast, if not faster as with the carb. Not to mention it would get better fuel economy, would never need adjusting like a carb, and have better low end power.

with all that money and parts you better at least go 13's. i am running low 14's and i still have the stock cam. can't say i am a big fan of carbs though. you'll get better mileage and throttle response from the tbi and end up with very equal hp with the same work.
don't remove your fuel injection, you'll regret it.

this has been discussed before. shane buss said it all. in his post. please search for his name and you will find it in there somewhere.

theres nothing like having your car start right up in the winter. and idle nicely, and get good mialage.

Carbs are only good/easy in all out race=high hp=high rpm applications. they are cheap, easy and hide tuning problems well. EFI is harder to get right IF YOU MAKE BIG CHANGES FROM OEM APPS but as said above, the drivability, mileage and startup ease is WELL WORTH THE COST?TIME to get it done. I almost HATE driving my carbed cars now because of the associated carb crap. I mean, I like carbs and all, but not as much as a good running EFI.

Take the time and do the EFI right and you'll be happier.

TBI sucks, so take it off and send it to me so I can put in on my '80
j/k its not bad, but not great. like anything else, it can be made to make power when done correctly, but you have to wonder if it's worth all the time and money to set up the TBI, or go with a sick carb, or get a TPI from the junkyard. around here, you can get a complete TPI for 200 bucks
