new cam,more power?
new cam,more power?
I am looking into getting a new cam for my LO3 305/TBI. i was wondering when i do the cam, what other parts am i gonna have to replace? Rocker arms? lifters? valves? what?

Nope, as long as your lifters, pushrods, and rocker arms are in good shape, you can reuse them with a new roller cam with no problems.

a new roller cam of nearly the same specs right? surelly you cant put a .600 lift cam in with stock springs! you will float the valves for sure, if your pistons dont hit the first...
then again ive never put a new cam in a stock 305, what do i know...

Right, I was assuming putting in a cam that will work with the stock stuff. If you put in a big cam, you'll need to replace the springs, as well as check piston to valve clearance and coil bind on the springs.
