max lift on swirl port heads?

Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73
Same as on most stock GM heads from the 80's and 90's, about .470" lift. This could vary on your heads, so check to make sure, dont use this number as an absolute.

The cam you have selected is okay but honestly I would look for a used LT1 cam. It is a roller cam with about the same specs and can be had for $20 or so. On stock untouched heads you don't want to go past .460" without some measureing. Even at that you risk puling out the pressed in studs. To run more than that it is wise to have the valve guides cuts and to remove the pressed in studs in favor of screw in units. That may be beyond some peoples devotion to SP heads at that point.
