How Many Horsepower will Vortec heads give me. And if all these are changed, heads, intake, cam, will my car feel totally different? I want about 225 horse power, will this give it to me? thanks guys

 

Car Craft made 325 horsepower on a 305 with the L31 Vortec heads. Their combo was pretty radical, Victor Jr. intake and a pretty big flat-tapped hydraulic cam. You could probably make close to 300 with a less radical cam and intake and have a car with better street characteristics. That's like 130 more horses than stock, yeah, your car would feel totally different.

It should be totally different but you will need a custom PROM to get the best/most... Might actually run worse until you do, too... Not trying to deter you, just prepare you for the added time/expense but DO IT!!!
