Snuffy, check this out

I have a idea for your TBI product line. How about a 2" TBI that opened 3/4 of the way with the throtle cable and was vacume controlled the rest of the way.It seems to me that it would eliminate low end bog,and offer enough flow on demand as needed.
Just a thought.

interesting, but i think the bog would be more reliably fixed thru the chip, and or not using it on an engine that didnt need it.

I've tinkered with the idea of redesigning the TBI unit myself and I was wondering when does it no longer become TBI? If I were to design one with the injector after the throttle blades isn't that approaching the lines of TPI? I think too much and there's a lot more to design than what I know so I think I'll just leave the designing up to snflupigus.

i thought it was simple too. LOL was i wrong. There is a lot to it. ive read two books now and tons of stuff online, as well as talk to others. There are still a few things im sure of working on my prototype. I think ive got the vacuum line ports done correctly and efficiently but they might be a little different than stock. also the linkage spring and what design might need some after build tweeking.

thanks though, and no, i dont think thats tbi anymore. plenum injection maybe?

PI (plenum injection) lol, now that's funny. Maybe when I get out of college I'll tinker around with all these ideas. What will your new TB work best on? A 350 or a 305 that is very heavily modded?

well since i now plan on making a few varations, both. but only a modded engine needs a larger tbi anyway.

How well would it feed a 412sb? with 10.2:1 comp ratio?
